Soy can do some things good and other things very bad. Soy can help against osteoporosis. And the bad thing is that the ingredients in soy products can increase your chance for breast cancer.

Tobacco

I think that the only reason that the government won't make smoking illegal is because the tobacco companies make so much profit on it. And the government is in so much debt to other countries they are taxing the tobacco companies a lot of money to help pay off their debt. The only reason the tobacco companies make so much profit is because the price of cigarettes are so high and so many people smoke.

Industrialized Farming

When you industrialize farming you are taking away many of jobs and a lot a food. Not of all the food in the world can be made in a factory. Most of all foods that we eat is grown on farms and is harvested. If they industrialize farming they farmers in the mid-east of the United States. The farms would be turned into cities and the farming equipment would be destroyed. And another facts is that you can't completely get rid of farming because we need some food the is grown naturally.

Environmental Health

The environmental issues that are presented today in the news. I think that they are all wrong. I think that the earth is going through a stage, a natural stage. You have to think about what happened before the ice age and then after the ice age. Also they are getting all of this information about how the earth was 18,00 to 30,00 years ago. Then you have to think how do they get that information, was there anyone then that would document the information that says the the earth is rapidly getting warmer. I think that global warming is the biggest myth ever. They say the fossil fuel powered vehicles are the reason for global warming. One thing is the cars and trucks have only been around for 100 - 125 years and the earth has been around for millions of years. People today say that gasoline power and hybird cars are better to use then any other fuel, well its diesel is. Diesel power vehicle are more efficient the gasoline powered. They are also saying that the diesel powered vehicles produce more emissions then gasoline powered vehicles. Fact is the diesel powered vehicles produce 20% less emissions then a gasoline powered vehicle. They also that diesels are the best buy because of the price of diesel is higher then the price of gasoline. Diesel is the best investment because the distance traveled between fillups is greater the gasolind powered so in the long term diesel is better. That is one issue.
Other issues are

1. Renewable energy source - they are pushing the wrong renewable, they are pushing solar engery, they need to push wind energy more.
2. Ozone depletion - CFC's

Community Resources

Some of the local resource are the new public libraries here in fairview and on the Bayfront. Another resource locally is the sports park, Pleasant Ridge, Fairview Schools, Snap Fitness, Tri State Business Institute. The sports park and Pleasant Ridge are both phyical, they can also be social. Fairview can also be a educational resource.

About Me

Hello, my name is Ian King. What makes me, me is that i am different from everyone else and i always help people if they ask me to. The activities that i am involved in are Cross Country and Track and field. I am also in the robotics. My interest are 100% classic cars and trucks, and anything with an engine and wheels. As of right now i am building a 1957 Chevy pickup. The college i want to go to is Louisiana Tech University.
